SCHUYLKILL ARSENAL INFANTRY JACKET
The shell jacket was a highly fashionable design in the 1860s and was a oft-sought item by Federal troops. Units often placed orders through the Schulkill Arsenal to equip the entire unit with these jackets. Foot troops often resorted to employing mounted services jackets, with or without trim. Shell jackets are often under-represented in the hobby.
The Schuylkill Arsenal's reproduction infantry jacket is one of the finest Federal shell jackets on the market. Note that after 1 January, these jackets will be available in hand-sewn grade only!
